Pocket Yard is an online store selling seeds and gardening essentials through the Shopify ecommerce platform. The store is operated by POCKET YARD AGRICULTURE L.L.C., a single-owner limited liability company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under Trade License No. 1653372. POCKET YARD AGRICULTURE L.L.C. is responsible for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
Pocket Yard is an online store selling seeds and gardening essentials through the Shopify ecommerce platform. The legal entity responsible for the store will be added to this Privacy Policy after the company is registered and before real orders are accepted.

2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:
- your name, email address and telephone number;
- shipping and billing details;
- order information and purchase history;
- limited payment and transaction information received from payment providers;
- customer profile information created when an order is submitted;
- messages, complaints and other communications with us;
- marketing preferences and consent records;
- IP address, browser, device and technical log information;
- cookie identifiers and information about how the website is used; and
- information needed to prevent fraud and protect the website.
We do not intend to collect sensitive personal data, biometric data, health information or precise geolocation data through our ordinary online retail activities. Please do not send such information unless we specifically request it for a lawful purpose.
3. How We Collect and Use Personal Data
We collect personal data directly from you, automatically through the website and from service providers involved in operating the store.
We may use personal data to:
- process, confirm and deliver orders;
- process payments through authorised providers;
- send order, payment and delivery updates;
- create and maintain the customer profile associated with an order;
- provide customer support;
- manage returns, replacements, refunds and complaints;
- keep records required for legal, tax and accounting purposes;

4. Legal Grounds for Processing
The legal ground depends on the purpose of processing and the law applicable to Pocket Yard after registration.
Where UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 applies, personal data may be processed where:
- you have given valid consent for a specified purpose;
- processing is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, including fulfilling an order;
- processing is required or permitted by applicable law; or
- another legal ground expressly permitted by applicable UAE law applies, including where necessary to establish or defend legal rights.
If Pocket Yard is registered in a jurisdiction with a separate data protection regime, this section will be updated before the store begins accepting real orders.
5. Orders, Payments and Delivery
We use your contact, billing, delivery and order information to process your purchase and arrange delivery.
A customer profile is created in Shopify when you submit an order. We use this profile to manage the order, customer communications and purchase history. We do not create a customer profile merely because you browse the website.
Online payments may be made by bank card through Shopify Payments. Depending on the option selected at checkout, payment credentials are processed directly by Shopify Payments under their own terms and privacy notices.
Pocket Yard does not receive or store full payment-card numbers. We may receive limited information such as payment status, payment method, transaction reference, billing confirmation and fraud-screening results needed to manage an order, refund or payment dispute.
Pocket Yard delivers within the United Arab Emirates. We may select one or more authorised third-party delivery or fulfilment providers available in the relevant emirate. The provider may vary depending on the delivery location and order requirements.
We may provide the selected provider with the recipient’s name, delivery address, telephone number, order reference and any necessary delivery instructions.
6. Marketing Communications
Pocket Yard may send marketing communications relating only to its business activities. These may include information about seeds, gardening essentials, home-growing content, product availability, offers, promotions and Pocket Yard news.
We will send marketing communications only where permitted by law and after obtaining consent where required. We will not use your contact details to promote unrelated third-party products or services.
You can opt out using the unsubscribe or preference option provided in the message, or by emailing support@pocketyard.ae.
Opting out of marketing will not stop necessary communications about orders, payments, deliveries, security or customer-support requests.
7. Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
Shopify uses cookies and similar technologies needed to operate the storefront, shopping cart, checkout and security features. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
Pocket Yard uses Shopify’s built-in Customer Privacy controls and cookie banner to provide information about cookies and allow visitors to manage optional cookie preferences. The Shopify cookie banner governs Shopify-specific cookies and Shopify Pixels.
Pocket Yard uses Shopify Analytics and Google Analytics 4 and may also use Meta Pixel:
- Shopify Analytics to understand store activity, visitor behaviour, website performance and transactions;
- Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, sessions, product interactions, cart and checkout activity, and completed purchases; and
- Meta Pixel, if enabled, to measure website visits, product views, cart and checkout activity, purchases and advertising performance.
These tools may use cookies, pixels, device identifiers and event information. Depending on the selected Meta data-sharing settings, browsing, purchase or contact-matching information may be shared with Meta for measurement and advertising purposes.
Where consent is required, optional analytics and advertising technologies will be used in accordance with the choices made through the Shopify cookie banner. Third-party tools will be configured to respect those choices where required and technically supported.
You can change optional cookie choices through the Cookie Preferences link available on the website and through your browser settings.
8. Shopify, Service Providers and Data Transfers
We use Shopify to host and operate the online store. Shopify may process customer personal data on our behalf to provide its services. Shopify may also process certain information independently when customers use Shopify consumer services or other enabled features.

Where necessary, we may share relevant personal data with:
- Shopify and its service providers;
- Stripe and PayPal for payment processing, fraud prevention, refunds and payment disputes;
- shipping and fulfilment providers;
- IT, security and customer-support providers;
- Google in connection with Google Analytics 4;
- Meta in connection with Meta Pixel and advertising measurement;
- professional advisers; and
- government bodies, courts or other authorities where disclosure is legally required or permitted.
Service providers receive only the information reasonably needed for their functions.
Shopify and other providers may process personal data outside the United Arab Emirates. Where applicable law restricts international transfers, Pocket Yard will use a lawful transfer ground and any safeguards required by that law. We do not claim that all providers or servers are located in the UAE.
9. Data Retention and Security
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and for any additional period required or permitted by law.
Retention periods depend on factors such as order completion, customer-account use, tax and accounting obligations, fraud prevention, complaints, disputes and the protection of legal rights.
When information is no longer needed, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it. Some information may need to be retained to comply with legal obligations or protect legal rights.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. However, no online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Your rights depend on the law applicable to Pocket Yard and the circumstances of the request.
Where UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 applies, you may have the right, subject to legal conditions and exceptions, to:
- obtain information about personal data processed about you;
- request access to or transfer of certain personal data;
- correct or complete inaccurate personal data;
- request erasure or restriction of processing in circumstances provided by law;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
- object to certain decisions based on automated processing, if such processing is used and the right applies.

These rights are not absolute. Some information may need to be retained for legal, security, accounting or dispute-resolution purposes.
11. Children’s Privacy and Third-Party Links
Pocket Yard products are not subject to a product-specific age restriction. However, a customer placing an order independently must be at least 18 Gregorian years old and have the legal capacity to enter into the purchase contract.
If a customer is under 18, the order and any related submission of personal data must take place with the involvement and authorisation of a parent or legal guardian, as required by applicable law. The website may contain links to independently operated third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policies.
12. Changes, Complaints and Contact
